Meet Renee​

Renee is a registered Psychologist based on the Northern beaches of Sydney. She was born in South Africa, where she worked as a school psychologist for many years. Since arriving in Sydney, Renee has studied many modalities to expand her practice. She now uses the Imago Relationship Therapy modality predominantly.

In addition to relationship therapy and adolescent counselling, Renee has experience in infertility, adoption, immigration and trauma. She is currently studying with ICAPP (Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy) to further develop her understanding of child development. Renee aims to provide a warm and safe therapeutic space for all clients and help them to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Imago Relationship Therapy

​Imago Therapy (developed by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt) states that conflict in a relationship is an opportunity for growth. Through the Imago Dialogue, a greater connection between couples can be developed. Individuals in the relationship are encouraged to cross the bridge to their partner's reality to understand their world and why they may behave the way they do in the complex dance of relationships.

​Renee is currently the Chair of AIRTA (Australian Imago Relationship Therapy Association). Renee has been instrumental in introducing the Online Clinical Training to Australia.
